Wow! How times flies! We get busy and forget to do things like keep you informed. It is more than time to get back into writing, so here goes.

For our spring break a few weeks ago we went to the south end of Lake Tahoe and stayed at Wyndham South Shore. The accommodations were great, only surpassed by the awesomeness of God’s nature there! The resort is located within walking distance of a public beach at the lake. But we weren’t there for lake fun this time. It’s still ski season there. We’ve been back a few weeks, but the skiing continues.

It was spring conditions on the slopes, but we expected that. There was some snowfall while we were there. Even so we got some of the spring slush at the end of the day. It wasn’t the watery slush—just enough to slow you down a little when you skied through it.

We skied at Heavenly and all but one or two of the nearly 100 trails were open and all the lifts were operating. There were no lines, which always makes for a more enjoyable time. But there are a couple of very unique about Heavenly. You can ski back and forth, in an out of California and Nevada. And from several key locations on the slopes you are overlooking the vast expanse of Lake Tahoe—a gorgeous sight!

It was the lake that alerted us to the fact some friends were there. Our son texted us a picture of his father-in-law on skis with the same lake in the background. It was a dead giveaway. They were skiing at another resort in the area, but a cellphone call brought us together. It was an unexpected surprise. The adventures of vacationing are always different; we never know what it will bring us.

We can help you have a great vacation experience at Lake Tahoe or one of the many other Wyndham Vacation Resorts. It depends on availability, of course, but we will work hard to help you enjoy your vacation in very nice, but very affordable, accommodations. Check our Resort Directory for a list of all the Wyndham Resorts where we have access. And we can get many of the WorldMark Resorts, also. Go to the site of any of them and see slides and video. If you have questions, or want to find about a date or location, contact us. Then rent the timeshare that will enhance your vacation. You won’t regret it. Everyone we have helped to rent a vacation condo has been extremely pleased.

The summer is about to officially end. Yeah, I know school has started, so in that respect summer has already disappeared.

It has been a frustrating summer for many people finding a vacation location. We received a ton of calls during the last three months from those looking for last minute accommodations at a nice resort. Many believe booking a resort is like calling up a hotel just before pulling into town and requesting a room for the night. And we have been able to accommodate a few people that late. One person called up and wanted to stay at Wyndham Nashville that night. We were able to book him in. My wife told him by the time he reached the resort, they would have his reservation at the desk. He replied, “I’m sitting in the parking lot now.”

It doesn’t usually work that way, especially in the summer and at a few other peak times. People vacation in the summer for a number of reasons—school is out, the weather is nice, and it is just the time to take a vacation. Or people go at other peak times because of holidays and time off from work. So vacation resorts and timeshares fill up rapidly during those heavy vacation times.

So here are a few tips. First, plan ahead for your vacation, particularly in the peak seasons. For summer, start now. We can get you in most resorts at a time of your choice for next summer now, although we have already found some weeks booked because of special events. For Christmas, the availability is rapidly decreasing. If you haven’t already booked something get going, like yesterday.

Unless you are planning to attend a big event in a certain location, try not to go then. Use the Internet (I know you can because you found us) and see what is happening at your proposed destination. If you want to go to the event, book early. Start calling us, for example, a year before and we can look as soon as a location becomes available.

In the fall and spring, times when the children are in school, it is generally easier to find what you desire. We have rented many timeshares at resorts with less notice in those seasons. But even so, we can usually get you a better price and closer to your exact needs with more time.

One more thing to note. Hotels and resorts differ in many ways. For example, you can cancel a hotel reservation just before the date. That is not true for vacation resorts. We cannot cancel a reservation less than fifteen days before check-in or we lose our points. We can hold a reservation during that time for the day and cancel before closing at night, but we cannot hold it overnight if it is not booked.

We want you to have a great vacation! Contact us in time. Check out the resorts on the directory. And rent the timeshare of your dreams.

A few weeks ago we found ourselves once again at the Wyndham Resort Bonnet Creek in Orlando. We stayed in a beautiful two-bedroom, overlooking the small lake in the center of the resort and with a view of the surrounding area. We were up high—not the best location for my acrophobia—with a far-reaching view. I had to conquer a little of that unreasonable fear in order to inch onto the balcony and peer over the edge.

When I was able to look down, I could see the different pools in the resort and see across the lake to the miniature golf course, one of the free amenities there.

With a location right in the middle of Disney property, it is simple to get to any of the parks. If Disney is your preference, it is a free shuttle ride over. We chose to take the short drive to Sea World for a visit with Shamu and his sea creature friends. We were able to secure a two-day deal, so we split our visit into parts of two days at our convenience, and in which we captured the best weather.

Otherwise, it was kicking back at the resort for the most part. We cooked most of our meals in the fully equipped kitchen. No, it wasn’t gourmet restaurant food; it was more microwavable stuff we picked up at the store. Hey, we were on vacation so we were chilling. We played miniature golf a few times. (I have to admit that she beat me a couple of times.) And we lazed around the river, sat by the pools and walked around the lake. I managed to complete a few crosswords, Sudoku and other related items. And I got a bit of reading done. The wifi in the unit helped us keep up with some business items. We didn’t make use of the hot tubs, but they are there, along with all the exercise stuff for the body connoisseurs.

We flew into Orlando and rented a car. Look for good deals and you might find one. When you make all the arrangements and listen to all the spiels of how they want to squeeze a little more from your financial bucket, there are a couple of things to avoid. Don’t prepay for a full tank of gas. You might save a few minutes at the pump, but you will spend more dollars because you won’t bring it back empty. Secondly, don’t purchase the toll road fast-pass so you can speed by the toll gates. It costs about $37 and, unless you’re going to drive a lot on toll roads, you don’t need it. Grab a few coins from the piggy bank and take them with you; we spent less than $10 on tolls—and we could have avoided that.

Depending on availability we can get you into Bonnet Creek and other Wyndham timeshare resorts. Check out the Wyndham Vacation Resorts and WorldMarks; click on Resort Directory and follow the prompts. Choose a location and contact us.

A couple of weeks ago we were able to return to the west coast for a brief. One good thing about the Wyndham system is that we can reserve parts of weeks. And if we have extra we can work that out, also. We stayed at Dolphin’s Cove in Anaheim. We had reserved a week ...Read the Rest

A couple of weeks ago we were able to return to the west coast for a brief. One good thing about the Wyndham system is that we can reserve parts of weeks. And if we have extra we can work that out, also. We stayed at Dolphin’s Cove in Anaheim. We had reserved a week starting on Friday, but were not able to go until Monday. So our son came down from the Northwest on Friday and my brother-in-law who lives in the LA area came over for a weekend getaway, also. Then we joined the group on Monday.

Dolphin’s Cove is strategically located within walking distance of Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. It is about five minutes from Anaheim Stadium, home of the Angels. And it is approximately a 15-20 minute drive to Huntington Beach, part of the 42 miles of beach along the coast by Anaheim.

We drove to Huntington Beach and walked along the track beside it for a short while. But that was not the reason for our visit. I am an avid Dodger fan. We didn’t go to Angel Stadium right beside us, but we drove the freeways to Dodger Stadium four times. Sorry, Angel fans, I didn’t go there. Although the Dodgers came home on a winning streak, they managed to lose three to the Diamondbacks before coming back to beat the Cubs. That was a downer for the trip, but it did not ruin the good times we did have there.

It was our first visit to Dolphin’s Cove. We found it to be a quiet and quaint resort. It is off the main path just enough to remain close to Disneyland and other local amenities, but out of the line of the major traffic arteries. The rooms there are not among the fanciest Wyndham Resorts we have experienced. However, the grounds are among the prettiest. The flowers, the trees, the quiet walkways all nestled between the buildings and around the pool and hot tub—they were amazing! The staff was friendly and the service more than adequate. We stayed in a two bedroom deluxe and our son used a one bedroom. They were spacious and very well furnished.

We generally choose our vacation timeshare resorts for the location, amenities and access to local attractions. Others choose according to the luxury of the resort. If luxury is the primary factor influencing your choice, there is a WorldMark Resort right there, and even a little closer to Disneyland. We dropped by to see it while we were there. It is more upscale than Dolphin’s Cove; but , the price is also more upscale. We do have access to that WorldMark, as well as to many others.

Check out all the Wyndham Vacation Resorts and WorldMarks where we have access by clicking on the Resort Directory and following the prompts. Choose which timeshare you would like to rent and contact us. We will do our best to help you.

When it comes to renting a timeshare for your vacation, there are terms you need to understand and things you need to know. This article is intended to help you with some of those.

If you read our ads, you will see a variety of unit sizes and configurations. Here’s a thumbnail of the unit types. The smallest is a studio; it is one room with a bed, mini-kitchen and living area (possibly with a sleeper sofa) and a separate bathroom. One-, two-, three- and four-bedrooms refer to the number of unique bedrooms. A suite is normally the smallest one-bedroom, followed in rising order by one-bedroom, one-bedroom deluxe and in some resort one-bedroom presidential. The words deluxe and presidential add size and plushness to the units. A lock-off is the combination of a smaller and larger unit, adjoined by a door to make an even larger unit. The most commonly seen is a two-bedroom lock-off, consisting of a one bedroom suite and a one-bedroom deluxe and includes two of each—bedroom, bath, living area and kitchen. Size of these units and the number each sleeps varies from resort to resort, so you need to ask. We were privileged to stay in a four-bedroom presidential one time when we had several families in and out with us; it was massively elegant.

The price of units varies from resort to resort and season to season, also. The price we can give you for a timeshare rental depends on the amount of points (a system of evaluating units) the resort charges. One thing to consider is that older resorts usually take less points than the newer ones. We work to give you the best deal for your money. One way we do that is by upgrading from smaller to larger units when we can do so (both must be available) and giving you the price of the smaller. Also, we can half-price the units at sixty days before check-in. We will work with you on your unique situation.

The lower prices do occur during the sixty days immediately prior to the reservation, but the more time you give us, the better chances we have of fulfilling your vacation needs and giving you the best price. This is especially true when you want something during a holiday or special event. For example, we have received a couple of calls for New Orleans for the first weekend of February 2013. And when we approach that weekend, we will get a lot more. You see, it is Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans. If you wait, you will miss it. Even now, the only way you will find something is if we, or someone else, has one already reserved. The greater the event, the more time we need.

Contact us to rent a vacation timeshare. Click on the Resort Directory to see all the Wyndham Vacation Resorts and make your choice. You will become our priority.

We enjoyed Pompano Beach at Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, a few weeks ago. The resort was Wyndham Royal Vista. We literally walked out our door, across the swimming pool deck and onto the beach. There we could veg as we watched the ocean waves, walk along the beach or jump into the world’s largest natural swimming pool and float around. (I call it the world’s largest pool because all the oceans are, in reality, one body of water.

We checked in on a Saturday. Late that night we went to WalMart and bought groceries. We returned to the resort and did not leave again until the next Saturday when we went to the airport! We needed the chill time and we got it. We did a little work on timesharestorent.net. And I worked on my sermon for the Sunday when we returned. Other than that we did really important stuff, like that mentioned in the paragraph above. We fixed simple meals in the kitchen and ate on the balcony overlooking the Atlantic. We read some. I worked crosswords and other puzzles on the beach. We watched some TV. Otherwise the two of us just enjoyed each other’s company, and got to meet some really nice people, as well.

We rented a couple of lounge chairs and an umbrella on the beach from a local vendor. It was inexpensive. That vendor offered a lot of other options to rent: banana boat rides, surf and boogie boards, jet skis, parasailing, giant trampoline island, and more. He also sells excellent sun protection products and ladies’ coverups. We watched others play volleyball on the beach, snorkel in the water, wade in and disappear under the water for scuba diving, and do some fishing. Cruise ships sailed by regularly. All in all, we basically enjoyed a relaxing nothing. The only real cost to us was the plane tickets to get there—and we work hard to find great deals there, also.

Our site has fallen behind because of our busy schedules, which are made more complex by all the people we have helped to experience vacations like our own. We will be working to get it updated. In the meantime, give us a call, or contact us through the site, and let us know when and where you would like to relax. We will do our best to add you the rapidly growing list of those who are extremely satisfied with our work. Look at the Resort Directory to see all the Wyndham Vacation Resorts and choose one that is appealing to you. Then contact us and we will give you the best price possible for a timeshare rental—guaranteed to knock your socks off! (But who needs socks on the beach?)

It was a great experience! It has been a low snow year there, but it snowed on us most of the time and the skiing was fun.

There are Wyndham Vacation Resorts all around the nation. And we have access to all of them. Check out the Resort Directory to view any or all of them.

Over the past seven months we had had the privilege of helping well over one hundred families enjoy quality vacation times in twenty-one different resorts. In Florida we have placed people in two Orlando locations, Daytona, Ft. Lauderdale and Panama City. South of there we have sent people to two resorts in St. Thomas of the US Virgin Islands.

Further north up the coast we have given people timeshares to rent in Williamsburg, VA, and at National Harbor in the D.C area. Plus we have rented units in Skyline Towers at Atlantic City.

As you move west, people have relished in their condos in Nashville and the Great Smokys of Tennessee. There are three locations in Branson, Missouri, that have housed people through us. Others have enjoyed the San Antonio Riverwalk while residing in a Wyndham Vacation Resort.

Out west, there has been summer and winter enjoyment at Pagosa, Colorado, and South Shore on Lake Tahoe. The Wyndham in Las Vegas has been a popular timeshare resort. Others have found their way to Dolphin’s Cove in Anaheim, California.

Hawaii is home to several Wyndhams and we have assisted several to view the Aloha State while vacationing in two of them.

The last time I wrote I included some of the positive responses of our guests. I said I would include more in this writing, but we have been so busy helping people, I haven’t had the time to collect the rest of the comments together. I am still working on that. In the meantime, do check out all the resorts. If you visit the Specials Page you will probably find that it is not up to date. Again, that’s because we have been so busy answering phone calls and emails and comments from this site that I have not kept up. Visit the Resort Directory, choose a location and a date and contact us for availability and a super price if it is available. The more time you can give us the better chances there are of getting you request and getting a great price!

Lisa: Just want to let you know we had a great time in Pagosa! Thank you so much.

Barbara (Nashville): We are home and it was great!! How far ahead can we book the same week for next year?

Carol: Thank you for our wonderful deluxe condo at Wyndham Resort in Nashville. We were across the street from the Opryland complex, great location! I will definitely rent from you again!

Dorothy (Bonnet Creek): I am constantly looking for rooms for others!! Anytime someone is looking for a place to stay, they always come to me. Please expect me to send a lot of business your way. Thanks again.

Jim and Shirley: We recently completed a family reunion at Nashville Wyndham. We needed 4 units and due to the varying dates that family members needed, we were having a hard time finding and reserving the needed units as this was a very busy time of year for Nashville Wyndham. Herb and Patty Mims came to our rescue. They found the units that we needed at very low fees and were very patient in answering all of our questions. Wyndham Nashville was wonderful. All of the units had been renovated from last years’ flood and all of our needs were met courteously and promptly. I have never seen such good entertainment provided by Wyndham at such low prices. Their many shuttle services to events were much appreciated. A good time was had by all. We will definitely use Herb and Patty for our future travel needs!

JoHanna & Scotty, Bonnet Creek: Best room ever!! We had a blast at Disney and then we went on to W. Palm Beach. We truly appreciate the great room at Bonnet Creek. Thanks again! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

John & Janis, Branson: Our family wanted to thank you and let you know we had a great vacation getaway, one we will never forget. It was very relaxing. Would you have the same thing available in June? Thank you.

Several years ago the Wyndham Grand Desert in Las Vegas was being built. Somehow we managed to get a reservation there before it was completed. The first tower was finished and they opened it that summer for occupancy. We were among the first to stay there. The outside features such as pools and sitting areas were very limited. We had a good time in spite of that.

After the Grand Desert was completed we booked another stay. This time the courtyard was finished, along with the rest of the buildings. Our stay was very enjoyable. We kicked back in the elegant room some of the time. We took advantage of the lounging and pool areas. We toured some of the surrounding areas. We dined in and out. And of course we experienced some of the life on the Strip.

Speaking of the Strip, we enjoyed the location of Wyndham Grand Desert. It is near enough to the Strip for easy access, yet far enough for peace and quiet when that is your desire. There is free shuttle service from the Grand Desert to the Strip. Once there we walked or rode buses and trains to wherever we wanted to go. We are not gamblers, but we enjoyed all the unique shopping areas, artwork and scores of free shows, besides the shows we paid to see. We were able to visit the entire Strip, as well as the light show in downtown Las Vegas.

Our legs were worn from all the walking, but it was good for us. If you prefer there are many means of transportation available. One night on our first trip to Vegas we hired a pedi-cab to take us back to the Grand Desert. It was quite an experience riding in the two-seat trailer behind a bicycle.

The staff and amenities at the Grand Desert were great! We were treated quite royally and had a lot of free stuff we could take advantage of.

Whether you enjoy the life of gambling or not, or if you want to enjoy some of the great shows, or you simply desire to walk through the luxurious casinos and other attractions, you will have a super time with a timeshare rental at the Wyndham Grand Desert in Las Vegas. We have been able to accommodate several people just recently, and the reports are good. If you desire to go, contact us by email or phone. We’ll do our best to assist you. Check out the Resort Directory to see all the Wyndham Vacation Resorts. We have access to each of the resorts and can check out the availability. Many we have already reserved and listed on our Specials page.

If you are interested, see the How to Rent page on this site. We use the secure system of PayPal.

Thanksgiving is a family time of the year. It is the beginning or what is in reality an extended holiday season that ends with New Year’s Day. It is a time of the year our family enjoys and has celebrated in a variety of ways. One way we have enjoyed Thanksgiving is by utilizing a ...Read the Rest

Thanksgiving is a family time of the year. It is the beginning or what is in reality an extended holiday season that ends with New Year’s Day. It is a time of the year our family enjoys and has celebrated in a variety of ways.

One way we have enjoyed Thanksgiving is by utilizing a timeshare. For several years it was a family joke that our Thanksgiving meal was in a pizza restaurant. (No, we didn’t have turkey pizza.) We have skied at Thanksgiving. We have just hung out around the condo. We have played racquetball. We have assembled jigsaw puzzles. Sometimes we have actually cooked a Thanksgiving meal in the timeshare unit. The point is we have done whatever we wanted to do with our timeshare stay.

It is difficult to rent a timeshare at Thanksgiving. That is why we have reserved some and have them available for rental. During the week of Thanksgiving we have reserved units at Wyndham Pagosa (Colorado), Wyndham Branson at the Meadows, Wyndham Grand Desert (Las Vegas), Wyndham Nashville, Wyndham Ocean Boulevard (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina), Wyndham Ocean Walk (Daytona Beach), and Skyline Towers (Atlantic City). There are a variety of days and unit sizes reserved at these resorts. There may be room for adjustment on the reservations we have. These are listed on the Specials Page. Visit that page and see what we already have available. We will have to cancel each of them when it gets to fifteen days before check-in. The reservations are based in the Wyndham points system and if we cancel inside of fifteen days we lose the points.

There is a possibility we can find other dates and unit sizes. Sometimes owners will make a reservation and then cancel just before the fifteen day window. Just like us, that is the time when they will lose them. So if something happens, or if they have booked “just in case,” the cancellation comes in. Then it may come up where we can book it. We also may be able to get back those we have cancelled, but we cannot guarantee it.

If you want to enjoy your Thanksgiving holidays with a timeshare rental, contact us by email or phone. We will do our best to help you. If you want a different location, check out the Resort Directory and visit any of the Wyndham Vacation Resorts. We have access to all of those resorts and can check out the availability at any of them.

By the way, we do all of our payments through PayPal. That is a secure system for us and for you. We never see your payment information; we only have your name and address so we can issue a guest certificate to you. PayPal gives you and us the guarantee that the deal is legitimate.
